Hello everyone! I'm so glad that some of our fellow classmates have stepped up to the plate to get the ball rolling on an event like this. It will be very nice to see all of you.

Currently, I live in Huntington, WV and I work for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Regional Office. I have two sons, Marc, age 26, and Eric, age 23.

It will be fun to see everyone again since Independence. Just to hit some highlights on life after high school....I joined the Army for a 4 year enlistment and copied morse code for the National Security Agency at Ft. Meade, MD. I met and married my former husband while stationed at Ft. Meade. We had two children together, Marc and Eric. After discharge from the military, my family and I lived in sunny California for two years and then moved back to Ft. Meade. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't last; however, I have maintained a friendship with my ex-spouse to the present time. In 1989 I moved back to good ol' West Virginia to the Beckley area and worked for Raleigh General Hospital. In November 1993, I started working for the VA Hospital in Beckley until until April of 2000. At that time, career promotion was waiting in Huntington with the VA Regional Office so I picked up roots and moved. I have lived in Huntington for the past nine years. This year, June 10th to be exact, my first grandchild was born. Dahlia Vine Chavez, who is a beautiful baby girl. Life has been very good thus far. The Lord has been very good and merciful to me...and for that, I will be eternally thankful.
