Kevin is living in Tallahassee, Florida and is currently employed with the Florida Department of Education. He is finishing a Masters degree at Florida State University in Applied American Politics and Policy. Kevin is married to Elaine Mann Carpenter, a Vice President with the Florida Retail Federation. His daughters are ReBecca, 18 years-old and Katy, 21 years-old. Elaine and Kevin traveled to Guatemala and adopted "Lyle" Carlyle Mac Carpenter when he was eight months old. Lyle is now twenty-one months old, and is both amazing and amusing.

Kevin is a World War II history buff and had the pleasure of visiting the USS Arizona memorial in Honolulu, a few years ago. Other favorite vacation spots are Panama City Beach, Daytona Beach, Key West, New Orleans and Savannah. He and Elaine hope to visit England and Cuba in the future.
