Michael G. Martin, PMP, is President of the M2 Consulting Group, Ltd. He has over 24 years of program and project management, quality assurance and enterprise/IT risk management experience in the consulting, information technology and construction industries.


After graduating from Independence High School Michael continued his academic and athletic career at West Virginia Tech. While at Tech he was co-Captain of the Golden Bear Basketball team and graduated in 1984 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He continued his education at the University of North Florida where he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Michael is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of project and risk management and team building. He frequently presents to professional organizations, companies, and universities and has been published extensively on the subjects, including his debut book – Delivering Project Excellence with the Statement of Work (Management Concepts, Inc. 2003). He is also author of the book titled Federal Statements of Work: A Practical Guide (Management Concepts, Inc. May 2008) and contributing author on the book titled, Field Guide to Project Management, Dr. David Cleland, Editor, John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 2004. He is currently working on two new books, which should be released in late 2009 or 2010.

He is married to the former Lori Milliott of Gainesville, FL and they live in Braselton, GA (outside of Atlanta) with their two boys Taylor (15) and Garrett (13) and their two daschunds - Peanut and Butter.
